MSc in Web Intelligence Postgraduate Program of Studies (MSc) of the Department of Information and Electronic Engineering at the International Hellenic University was established and has been operational since the Academic Semester of 2012-2013.
Recently, its continued operation was approved by the Ministry of Education ( ΦΕΚ 2121/21-5-2021). Based on the official amendment (FEK 1007/12.2.2024), the program was modified and in its new form, it will operate from the academic year 2024-25. The program leads to a Postgraduate Diploma of Specialization (MSc) at level 7 of the National Qualifications Framework.
The MSc awards a Postgraduate Degree in “Web Intelligence” provided that the postgraduate student successfully completes the courses prescribed by the respective program in combination with participation in all educational and research activities as defined in the program’s guide and the postgraduate studies regulation of the department and the postgraduate studies regulation of the International Hellenic University (IHU).
Acquisition of the MSc Degree enables further studies for obtaining a Doctoral Degree.
The minimum duration of studies for the award of the Postgraduate Diploma is set at three (3) academic semesters, including one semester for the preparation of the thesis. The maximum duration of studies cannot exceed 6 academic semesters in total for full-time enrollment. In the part-time enrollment process, the minimum duration is 5 semesters (4 semesters for courses and 1 semester for the Postgraduate Thesis), and the maximum is 9 academic semesters.
The number of admitted students is set to a maximum of thirty (30) students.
Each academic semester consists of 13 weeks for teaching and 2 weeks for examinations.
